Romans 8 says you are either hostile to God or you are set on him. The Holy Spirit will give you a new kind of peace that is very uncomfortable for your flesh, because your flesh is contrary to God. Set your mind on the Spirit and you will have life and peace!

Most people know sin is bad, but sin anyway. Most of the time they have no idea why. You can't destroy sin in your life until you understand it is alive. Romans 7 tells you why you still sin.

Do you compromise with sin? Sin is worse than you think it is. Do not compromise with it!

Romans 7:1-5

In Romans 7 the Bible will tell us why we sin even though we know it is wrong and feel guilty about it. It starts with our identity, and what we are obeying. The opening verses tell us that we must die with Christ in order to be raised with him.

Everyone in the world is a slave according to Romans 6:15-23. The only question is who you are obeying. You are either a slave to sin or a slave to Christ. You can tell who owns you by who you obey.
